Women’s Health Week

This week, 4 – 8th September 2023 is National Women’s Health week.

The theme for the week is “Grow your knowledge.” The aim of the week is to help Australian women make informed decisions about their bodies and their health and we feel that our job at Leichhardt General Practice and the Inner West Women’s Health Clinic is to provide that information in a way that is easy to understand.

We want to empower women to understand their bodies, their hormones and the support that is available for them throughout their lives from contraceptive choices, pelvic pain management, fertility, incontinence, mental health and management of menopause. Women’s Health Week is about encouraging women as partners, wives, daughters, sisters, and mothers to put their health first and take proactive steps in invest in themselves.

The week includes events you can attend either online or in person. Check these out on the Jean Hailes Website. Events include but are certainly not limited to:

  • Aboriginal Girls Health and Wellbeing

  • Health Checks for Women with Multiple Sclerosis
